The Girls on the Run team at Babler Elementary sponsored a week full of events to raise awareness for National Diabetes Month.  The week kicked off with an all school assembly where Snow Foundation founder, Stephanie Snow Gebel, gave a presentation on Wolfam syndrome and diabetes.  With the support of Gold’s Gym, the Girls on the Run raised over $4,000 in one week with a variety of fundraisers and a one-mile run for the entire student body.  Classes competed to raise the most “Dollars for Diabetes” with the winners receiving a pizza party.  Proceeds from the week’s events were donated for Wolfram syndrome research.
